Common questions

Can I write with my finger?

Yes, that's the default. If you'd rather write only with Apple Pencil and scroll with one finger, open a notebook, tap the ••• button and turn off Draw with Finger.

How do I find something I wrote?

Use Search in the library, or the magnifying glass inside a notebook. Handwriting becomes searchable a few seconds after you stop writing.

I deleted a notebook by mistake.

Open Recently Deleted in the library, select it and tap Restore.

How do I back up everything?

In Settings, open Import & Backup and choose Export Whole Library. It saves one .sheafnote file that you can import again later.

Does Sheafnote sync between my devices?

iCloud sync uses your own iCloud account and is coming in an upcoming update.
